CFCL Launches Tableware Series “PORCELAIN POTTERY” in Collaboration with Hataman Touen
Exclusive Pop-up at Isetan Shinjuku

CFCL will launch the tableware series “PORCELAIN POTTERY,” created in collaboration with Hataman Touen, a kiln specializing in Imari Nabeshima ware, with a pop-up at Isetan Shinjuku Main Building starting April 8.

With 3D computer-aided knitting at the core of its practice, CFCL continues to explore clothing as tools for contemporary life. In this collaboration, CFCL presents a new series of vessels by Hataman Touen, a kiln with over 350 years of history in Imari ware, known for both preserving tradition and pursuing innovation through new materials and techniques.

“PORCELAIN POTTERY” integrates accumulated craftsmanship while emphasizing a scale suited to modern living and a minimal aesthetic without decorative painting, allowing the material itself to emerge. By bridging fashion and lifestyle, the series proposes a new way of enriching the everyday table, akin to styling daily attire.

Inspired by CFCL’s signature POTTERY SKIRT, the collection comprises eight styles, including a teacup, mug, flower vase, two plates, and three bowls, presented in five colors aligned with the CFCL VOL.11 collection.

The pop-up is organized as part of the 30th anniversary of Re-Style on the 3rd floor of Isetan Shinjuku Main Building. From April 8, the collection will be available in advance at Center Park / The Stage #3 alongside CFCL’s latest collection, with a simultaneous presentation at Isetan Seed on the 1st floor. From April 22, the offering will expand to ISETAN HOME ESSENCE on the 5th floor.

From April 22, the series will also be available at CFCL directly operated stores and the official online store.

The sculptural form characteristic of POTTERY creates a soft yet distinctive expression. Each piece is fired at high temperatures and features a matte texture achieved through blasting applied only to the exterior. The material used is Amakusa porcelain stone, traceable to its place of extraction.

Designed to complement a wide range of cuisines, from Japanese to Western and Chinese, the collection balances simplicity with proportions suited to contemporary one-plate dining. It also offers practical functionality for everyday use, including compatibility with microwaves and dishwashers.
