VOL.13
Spring/Summer 2027
CFCL presented its VOL.13 runway show at Toguna, Palais de Tokyo, on October 6, the final day of Paris Fashion Week for Spring/Summer 2027. Chairs sink into the floor, while fruit lies scattered across the space. A familiar world takes on a surreal quality in a living room-like setting, where everyday scenes gradually dissolve within a palette of luminous colors. Dreamy, pop-inflected sounds by Korean DJ duo Salamanda fill the venue, while organic forms and lightweight knitwear trace a new relationship between the body and space.

Harmony
In times of uncertainty, lightness and brightness are functional.
For CFCL, this means not only pursuing rationality, but also responding to the human body and emotions. Finding harmony between function and beauty, humanity and nature, light and space. With VOL.13, we reconsider the role of clothing in contemporary life from this perspective.
Using 3D computer-aided knitting and recycled fibers, we update the possibilities of clothing while giving form to the sensory softness of organic curves and an open sense of lightness. The harmony that emerges from the resonance between different elements is embodied in Knit-ware designed to accompany contemporary living.
UNDULATE EFFECT
A group inspired by the organic, undulating forms found in architecture and objects. Translating a design approach that responds to the human body and senses into clothing, CFCL constructs bold drapes through 3D computer-aided knitting. Soft forms emerge, changing in expression with movement. All four designs are created with the same recycled polyester yarn.
GATHERED POTTERY / GATHERED POTTERY LUCENT
LOOK 25, 26, 28, 36, 39
The signature POTTERY series is reconstructed with elastic threaded through the hem, creating a balloon silhouette that gently expands toward the bottom. By raising the elastic to the waist, the silhouette and length can be adjusted depending on how the garment is worn. In LOOK 36 and 39, the design is paired with a seamless hem made from translucent yarn, introducing a contrasting texture.
ASYMMETRY OVERWRAPPED / CORDED
LOOK 12, 27
The hem of a seamlessly knitted skirt is folded outward, creating an asymmetric silhouette through draping. The folded sections overlap with the movement of the body, creating a sense of depth.
LOOK 13, 14, 21
The hem of seamless knitted trousers is threaded through a cord at the waist and gathered like a curtain to create dimensional draping. As the wearer walks, the fabric catches the air, creating a flowing sense of movement.
LUCENT EFFECT
A group inspired by the shadows and color gradations created by light entering through windows, as well as the soft light filtered through lace curtains. The sensation of gently connecting space and the body is expressed through light, open clothing. All four designs combine dyeing and handwork with translucent nylon and polyester-based materials.
CONIC LUCENT / CONIC OMBRE LUCENT
LOOK 15, 34, 38
A series that expresses stripes expanding dramatically toward the hem through vivid colors. Tubular bodices knitted in a fan-shaped construction using 3D computer-aided knitting are sewn while gathering the neckline. The individual pieces of LOOK 34 and 38 are dyed with a gradient effect.
HANDKERCHIEF LUCENT / HANDKERCHIEF DYEING LUCENT
LOOK 11, 18, 22, 31, 33, 35
Square pieces featuring lace motifs are layered across the body on the bias, creating a dimensional surface. In LOOK 18, the body and each piece feature an uneven dye effect, adding depth and variation to the finish.
FLAPPED LUCENT / FLAPPED OMBRE LUCENT / FLAPPED ENCHANT LUCENT
LOOK 23, 29, 32, 37, 41, 43
Long, narrow knitted pieces are individually threaded by hand through programmed holes in the body. In LOOK 32, 37, 41 and 43, each piece is dyed separately, creating a gradient of successive shades.
KALEVALA COLLABORATION
CFCL | Kalevala — Laine
A collaboration with Kalevala, a jewelry brand founded in 1937 that has continued to draw on Finnish culture and craftsmanship while engaging with women’s independence and social issues. This shared belief in creating objects that accompany people in their everyday lives and contribute to a better society forms the foundation of the project. The collection name “Laine” means “wave,” evoking a connection to nature shared by Japan and Finland, while resonating with CFCL’s POTTERY series. Brooches, ear cuffs, earrings, necklaces, and rings, all cast in silver, incorporate the minimal, organic forms found in Finnish modernism.
