An item that is soaked with a person's sweat and water and can only be that one piece of clothing. Recently, I often think about clothing as such an existence. Isn't it okay to wear the same clothes every day until they fall apart?

Contemporary means being “being present in the same age”. At this very moment, there are people who are self-sufficient in the jungle, and there are people who embody polytheistic deities. By daring to set my default on that side, I hope not to lose sight of a certain essence that the word “contemporary” covers up. In short, while the essence is very difficult to discern, I believe that “ contemporary life” for me has unlimited possibilities.

I want to be more outstanding in every aspect. I want to smash through. To be honest, that's all I think about. I make each piece of work as a legacy for future generations in 50 or 100 years. Whether it is a movie, a book, or a work of art, I want to make something that will change the lives of 10% of people, not something that will end with 70% of people saying, “Oh, that's nice,” and that is what I am aiming for. That is how I respond to all the beings that have kept me alive until now.
